The white room as a dimensional diary for the visitors of the Designmai 2005 in Berlin.
The floor, walls, ceiling and furniture are white – like an unused sheet of paper. Visitors of the fair are invited to give some creative output after getting a lot of creative input, as usual at fairs. During the 10 days the room grows to a great artwork, where you find a lot of inspiration at the end.

In December 2004 L.U.F.B, a group of four interior design students, initiated a social street exhibition by bringing personal stories of the residents to the public room.
For four weeks, people take private insights into the private apartments which are normally hidden. Central theme is a personal story about a beloved lamp that spends light. „Give us a little light!“ From these stories L.U.F.B produce large posters, as they are known for election advertising. They become exhibition exhibits, placarded on trees and streetlights.
In the night of exhibition opening, the residents were ask to bring their lamps to the street! And they do!!! By showing all stories using a beamer and having drinks and some finger food, the neighbours had the chance to get to know each other – on this evening different ages and nationalities came together. Amazing to see people to be proud to be a part of this exhibition.

One evening an empty shop awakens to life. Visitors enters the room over one of three improvised stages. Upon entering, each guest gets a design or light set for active use. The room is still dark at the beginning – symbolizes the vacancy. The room is prepared with a variety of "docking station" for light. Through communication and interaction of the guests, the room brightens up and finds its design. Light is place. Interaction is place. Places appear and disappear - remain in the memory. Similarly the scenes of theater performances. During the event these begin again and again casually amid the visitors.
